Logos Crack When You Put Them Too Close to the Roll

“With our logo” is in almost every inquiry, and it means something different every time. A 3 cm mark. Three full-color prints on a 5L bag. A reflective word plus a crest. Those are different films, different setups, and different arguments six weeks later when the bulk arrives.

On a roll-top the top of the bag goes away. Whatever sits high on the front panel gets folded into the closure, or creased every time the bag is shut. Ink that looked fine flat will crack along that line. We drop the mark onto the front, clear of the folds, and we want a measurement from a seam, not “centered, you’ll see it.” Centered on a mockup is not a position once the bag is stuffed and the skirt is rolled.

The cloth decides whether the print looks stuck on

PVC tarpaulin can hold a screen print that looks a bit blunt and lasts, which is what you want on an event bag that will be scraped around. A softer TPU face is less forgiving. The wrong ink sits patchy. A heavy transfer film looks sharp and then feels like a stiff patch on a bag that was supposed to be soft. Heat transfer is often cleaner for small type. It can also lift at the corners if the bags are rolled tight in a carton for a few months. None of this shows on a paper proof. We print the sample on the cloth the order will use.

Color matching is the quiet one. White on navy is easy. Navy that has to match a hotel textile, or a green that has to match a club color, needs a Pantone or a physical swatch. Even then, coated fabric will not match a cotton shirt, and welding can shift it again. Tell your own customer that before they approve a screenshot from their phone.

Say how many colors before you promise the client

A one-color print on a 5L or 10L ocean pack is a normal first order. Four colors, fine lines, and a small quantity is a setup cost that can drown the bag price. A photograph wrapped around the body is a different job again, and we would rather say so before you have told a client it is simple.

Send the logo as a vector if you have one. A PNG sitting on a white square, background still in the file, is how a lot of these arrive. We can separate it, but the edge will show, and someone will blame the printer.
